It's difficult for most people (and nations) to accept that they have erred, but in America's case, the problem is even more acute. Such is their inbuilt level of arrogance and self-belief (or is it self-deception?), that it is inconceivable for Americans to accept even basis tenets. Witness the creationist movement that is re-emerging forcibly at present. How can anyone seriously belief in such hogwash!
